Mixed picture for August US auto sales

  • Ford US light-vehicle sales -2.1% vs est -3.5%
  • Fiat Chrysler auto sales -10.6% vs -5.9% est
  • GM auto sales +7.5% vs +3.7% est
There is talk that the damage from Harvey could solve the US overproduction and inventory issue.
