Sheila Bair weighs in:
Oct. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Former FDIC Chairman Sheila Bair
said “there were issues and unhappy shareholders” at
Citigroup, and that Citigroup CEO Vikram Pandit’s resignation is
“a very positive move,” speaking on Bloomberg Radio.
• Bair says Pandit didn’t understand commercial banking, has skills for a
different kind of firm
• Bair says Citi board “doing their job,” made good decision, acting in
shrholder interests
• “Maybe big banks need to be smaller and simpler”: Bair
