TSA removes body scanners from some airports - MarketWatch

The Transportation Security Administration has been taking X-ray body scanners out of some major U.S. airports and replacing them with devices believed to be safer, ProPublica reported Friday. The TSA, however, claims the decision was made to speed up the screening process at busy airports rather than due to safety worries. Many of the X-ray scanners are being moved to smaller airports, the news service noted, after being pulled from airports in Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. The machines have been heavily criticized since they were introduced almost three years ago, as they emit ionizing radiation that, at high levels, can cause cancer. They have also been attacked as invasions of privacy because they produce blurred pictures of the naked bodies of passengers.

Ahh yes the Artificial War on Terror....The Terror my fellow Americans is with in, just take a moment and look around.
