Christie restricts water use in N.J.; list of boil water advisories expands to 12 communities in the state - NY Daily News
As New Jersey assesses the massive damage caused by the storm, Gov.
Christie announced late Wednesday that he had signed water use
restrictions because power outages are straining the state’s
water-treatment system.
“Some key restrictions we need folks to pay attention to include
prohibiting the outdoor washing of pavements, except for health and
safety reasons, prohibits lawn and landscape watering, prohibits outdoor
washing of cars, and also, a common-sense rule, be mindful of the
amount of water you’re using,” he said.
Experts have also renewed warnings for people to stay clear of standing
flood water, which can harbor dangerous bacteria or industrial
contaminants.
In addition to water concerns, local and state officials are urging
people to be mindful of possible carbon monoxide poisoning from the use
of generators.
Thank you Nanny State if it weren't for you hell I don't think I would rememeber how to flush my own toilet..it is still my toilet correct?
I can see this leading to the new 1 Teaspoon flush toilet. You'll need to flush it a million times to get everything to go down. Glad I am on a well and have my own septic tank.
