Greece gets OK for bailout payment of 4 bln euros

 Euro-zone officials have given the green light for Greece to receive its latest sub-tranche of bailout funds, the European Commission said Friday. Simon O'Connor, spokesman for the European Commission, confirmed in a post on Twitter that the Euro Working Group had approved the transfer of 4 billion euros ($5.3 billion) to Greece, with €2.5bn to come from the European Financial Stability Facility and €1.5bn from the Securities Market Program. Both of these payments will need to be approved by euro-zone governments on Monday. Earlier this week, the release of the bailout funds was put in doubt after Eurogroup chief Jeroen Dijsselbloem said Greece was yet to meet one of the conditions for the payment
