Regional and state unemployment rates were little changed in June
Twenty-eight states had unemployment rate increases, 11 states had
decreases, and 11 states and the District of Columbia had no change, the
U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today.

Nevada had the highest unemployment rate among the states in June, 9.6
percent. The next highest rates were in Illinois and Mississippi, 9.2
percent and 9.0 percent, respectively. North Dakota again had the lowest
jobless rate, 3.1 percent.
