CFTC closes silver market investigation

closed its investigation concerning the silver markets. Following the
investigation that took more than 7,000 enforcement staff hours, the

firm or its employees related to our investigation of silver markets,"
it said in a press release.
The CFTC had confirmed in September 2008 that it was looking into
complaints of misconduct in the silver market. The complaints were
focused on whether the silver futures contracts traded on the Commodity
