His death wasn’t suspicious, Mark Pugash, a Toronto Police Service
spokesman, said Tuesday in a phone interview. “It was obviously a very
tragic missing person’s case.”
Abbott’s body was discovered around 6:40 a.m. Monday floating face
down just east of a water filtration plant, close to Queen Street East
and Courcelette Road, according to earlier police reports.
Police had been searching the affluent neighborhood along the shore
of Lake Ontario for Abbott, who was last seen April 25. Abbott, 36, was a
vice president in the capital markets group of Morgan Stanley’s
Canadian wealth-management division.
