September 2016 US international trade balance -42.6bn vs -41.8bn exp

  • Prior -36.4bn. Revised to -36.2bn
  • Exports -1.8% vs 0.9% prior
  • Imports 1.3% vs -1.2% prior
The drop in exports did the damage here. There has been a jump in exports on soybeans last quarter which has washed out now.
