US 10 year yield hits 16 1/2 month high at 2.432%

The US 10 year bond traded at a 16 1/2 month high yield at 2.432%. That is up 4.9 basis points on the day.

The 30 year bond yield is also higher on the day and trades at 12 months highs at 3.096%.

The story remains the same since the election:
  • More fiscal spending
  • More growth
  • More inflation
  • More deficits potentially
You add an output deal from OPEC, if it holds, you get higher inflation from higher prices there.
