California considering plan to charge drivers for every mile they drive

http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2017/12/11/california-considers-mileage-tax/

The Marxists are worried because people are purchasing fuel-efficient and non-gas-fueled vehicles. In case some of you haven’t had the pleasure of a visit there, driving distances to and from work in the Southern California region (i.e., Riverside County towns into the Los Angeles area) can easily exceed 100 miles/day.

This comes on top of the highest state income tax of the nation, some of the highest housing prices, etc.
