This shooting was just another failure of our government and they are trying to blame guns for their gross incompetence.

The Key point here the Loony Left does not seem to understand ( Ya I know ) The very people
( Cops, The Government and so on ) the Left is claiming to protect them FAILED THEM so what does the left do? Blame the inanimate object instead. A Key sign of mental illness as described : Some of the more common disorders are depression, bipolar disorder, dementia, schizophrenia and anxiety disorders. By riding the world of inanimate objects the Left thinks violence will just go away forever, this is the how the Loony left thinks below

 The Sheriff  Sitting on his ass and eating donuts is probably the job he *thought* he took. It just didn't work out that way.

The fact that he did what he did - is something that seems to get repeated over and over and over again during these incidents. The local security sits tight - or when the cops show up they stay outside the building. The "cops stay outside the building" thing is behavior that has been repeated over and over and over again. Seems an awful lot of cops are willing to do a mag dump on some guy who's right there in front of them whom they *think* has a gun - but when the option is to open the door and run inside the building (run towards the sounds of gunfire) - an awful lot of them choose to stay put.

If I was being fair I'd say that it's understandable because an awful lot of them probably have the thought run thru their head "I didn't sign up for this shit" - and they have families at home too, kids to support - etc. To be even more fair - even the military often has trouble getting soldiers to run into gunfire (or at least they used to) . This stuff has been studied to death and just because you're a "soldier" doesn't make you automatically willing to risk your life running into the middle of a firefight.

Sitting down and thinking about it a little - I don't have a problem with that - everybody makes their own decisions in the end.

What I DO have a problem with - is the constant harping by the government and the left wing - about how the government is here to save my ass. Therefore I should "shelter in place" and give up my guns and never take any action to help myself or others ..... LET THE AUTHORITIES HANDLE IT!!! - is what we hear CONSTANTLY out of these people . To the point where people get prosecuted and jailed for defending themselves , and we have constant attacks against gun owners who have done nothing wrong - always using that "let the authorities handle it" excuse as one of the reasons.

You can't have it both ways.

If you're going to FORCE me to accept the premise that the authorities are going to handle all bad situations - then the "authorities" need to be prosecuted and jailed when they fail.

If that's the rules they want us all to live by - then fine. But THEY are going to live by those rules also.
