These people are a riot. The government bureaucracies exist to address problems, not ever solve them. 

Never ever solve them.  Because if solved, they all get laid off.

The Secretary of HHS is making the argument that he is more responsible for your health than you are.

For those who fail to apprehend the meaning of this statement, the head of HHS says HE OWNS YOU.  AND IF YOU FAIL TO FOLLOW HIS DIRECTIONS HIS MINIONS WILL BE VISITING YOUR HOUSE.

Implicit in HHS' opinion is intellectual superiority amounting to racial superiority, or CERTAINLY class superiority, causing him to believe in his superior ability to determine from afar, with no explicit knowledge of your individual health conditions, with no personal knowledge of you whatsoever, what is your best health course of action.

His personal brilliance is such that he cannot conceive that it is possible for you, as many qualified researchers do, have equal or even superior clinical knowledge to his own, and yet have a different opinion. 

Alternatively he may acknowledge internally that there exist researchers, doctors, and even layperson with more time to follow the data than he has, leading to divergent opinions.  Yet he feels his position entitles him, or politically obligates him, to override the scientific debate and impose a solution by force.

The Former is an explicitly Mengelian depravity in its disregard for human life and a crime against humanity.

The latter is a Stalinesque assertion of divine power over life and death for millions and a crime against humanity.

And if you think my judgement too extreme, then I ask you, did the instances where Mengele's experiments on the unwilling were not fatal, or even completely successful justify them?  Even apart from the many instances where he was wrong or even intentionally sadistic? 

Is it Just for a government official to make such unwilling experiments, in and of itself?  Or were his actions properly determined in the Hague to be crimes, regardless of any assertion of government authority or incidence of success?

Does incidence of success or assertion of authority Justly authorize experimentation on the unwilling?

These are profoundly illegitimate, illegal, and immoral acts.   Resist them..
