Solving the Riddle of Veteran Unemployment - Forbes

Last year, the unemployment number for new vets in New York was 16.7%; in the nation as a whole, it was 12.1%. That’s over 234,000 new veterans looking for work after separating from the military. For veterans ages 18 to 24 years old, the outlook was even worse – nearly 30 percent unemployment.

There is no recovery, and anything the Fed might do will not change that. It's a complete farce.  All you have to do is look at Japan to see the brightest future possible. I doubt the US will pull off even a Japan. What is really happening is the end of decades of growth following WWII we have finally started on the downslope.
And this is a global phenomena the intrinsic problem is no way can the billion in Chindia approach a American standard of life without stripping the planet of all its resources. In the end that is in my opinion our intrinsic problem fundamentally no more room at the top.
