Ask the average American about U.S. wars, and (maybe) they'll tell you
about Afghanistan & Iraq. But how many know about the drone strikes
going on in Pakistan? My guess is that the percentage is small.
That's a lot of innocent people.
The Guardian has reported on the fear and psychological trauma that the Pakistanis suffer under, never knowing if a drone is going to attack them. Hina Rabbani Khar, Pakistan's Foreign Minister, says that drones are a top cause of anti-Americanism in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, over in the U.S., Republicans like Romney, Santorum, Giuliani chastise Obama's "weak" foreign policy.
Weak?
The largest military Empire in history is flying over a country and wiping out hundreds of innocents. And as Truthout reports:
Meanwhile, the US government refused to give the US public, Congress, or US media basic information about the drone strike policy, claiming the policy is "secret" even as US officials publicly boast of the policy's claimed successes. This is weak?
It sounds like unlimited power to me.
Sadly, the charade is all just a part of the One-Party State game.
When a Democrat is in power, Republicans call the foreign policy "weak"...even if it reigns death around the globe.
When a Republican is in power, Democrats blame everything on "the free market"...even though it doesn't exist.
And American citizens stay pacified with bread & circuses, never taking a moment to imagine all the people living in fear of a U.S. drone possibly taking their life.
