U.S. bond trading will remain closed on Tuesday due to Hurricane Sandy and severe weather. The Securities Industry and Financial Market Association already recommended a noon Eastern time close on Monday, which most firms will observe. SIFMA also suggested full closures of U.S.-dollar denominated securities in Tokyo and London on Tuesday. The recommendations apply to trading of U.S. dollar-denominated government securities, mortgage- and asset-backed securities, over-the-counter investment-grade and high-yield corporate bonds, municipal bonds and other short-term debt markets.
