Zacky Farms LLC, a Fresno, California-based poultry producer, sought U.S. Bankruptcy Court protection from creditors amid heavy debt and soaring feed costs.
In court papers filed in Sacramento, the closely held company listed as much as $100 million in assets and as much as $100 million in debts.
