MF Global Trustee Louis Freeh filed a lawsuit against former Chief Executive Jon Corzine in bankruptcy court, said The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday. The lawsuit is also against former Chief Operating Officer Bradley I. Abelow and former Chief Financial Officer Henri J. Steenkamp. The lawsuit alleges "acts and omissions" against the firm's officers and says the actions "culminated in the business collapse of the company and the bankruptcies of the debtors." Corzine, the former New Jersey governor and CEO of Goldman Sachs, was heading MF Global when it collapsed in October 2011. Funds of $1.6 billion were missing at the time of bankruptcy, which the trustee believes will be restored.
