Treasury says Deputy Sec Wolin to leave in August

Treasury says Deputy Sec Wolin to leave in August

Treasury Deputy Secretary Neal Wolin will leave the administration next month, the department announced Tuesday. Wolin was a key adviser to former Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner. He had agreed to stay on to help Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew's transition. The statement made no mention of a replacement for Wolin. There was a report on Bloomberg News that the White House was considering Federal Reserve Governor Sarah Bloom Raskin for the post. Raskin was Maryland's top financial regulator from 2007 to 2010
