Treasury says Deputy Sec Wolin to leave in August
Treasury Deputy Secretary Neal Wolin will leave the administration next
month, the department announced Tuesday. Wolin was a key adviser to
former Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner. He had agreed to stay on to
help Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew's transition. The statement made no
mention of a replacement for Wolin. There was a report on Bloomberg News
that the White House was considering Federal Reserve Governor Sarah
Bloom Raskin for the post. Raskin was Maryland's top financial regulator
from 2007 to 2010
