Mr Lunt suspects he may have been targeted by someone who knew about his hobby.
"I have been collecting the past four or five years," he said. "It was something I enjoyed doing. "That's the last 10 years of my life savings there, two deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, all gone."
The robbery occurred between 6pm on Tuesday and 3am on Wednesday when Mr Lunt and his partner Krista arrived home.
