The first of three or more CMEs en route to Earth are expected to
arrive late in the day on April 1st. None of the incoming clouds is
squarely Earth-directed. The series of glanciing blows, however, will
rattle Earth's magnetic field and possibly spark auroras.
SUNSPOT OF INTEREST: Growing
near the center of the solar disk, sunspot AR2021 has nearly doubled in
size in the past 24 hours. A movie from NASA's Solar Dynamics
Observatory shows the active region's fast-paced development:
Lots of Quake activity as of late, and a very active Sun as well.
