The Russell 2000 Small Cap Index has been showing weakness for quite some time, as I've posted about previously.
Yesterday we received further confirmation that the index is losing
steam. After finding support at its 50 dma for the better part of last
week, it lost over 1.2% in Monday's session, slicing below both its 50
dma and 200 dma in the process. Its short-term internals are just awful
as demonstrated by rapidly declining RSI, MACD, and full stochastics.
