Bonduelle USA Inc. of Brockport, New York, is recalling over 9,000 cases of frozen corn because it potentially is contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
The frozen cut corn was distributed to stores
in Mississippi, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Vermont,
Massachusetts, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Maryland, Virginia, North
Carolina, Florida and Louisiana.
Listeria is an organism which can
cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail
or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
The frozen cut corn, distributed in poly bags has the following labels:
