Fed's Bullard: Rate Hike 'Not Far Off'

  • Pretty confident inflation will get back to 2%
  • Fed policy has to evolve as the data evolves
  • Is holding judgement on what the Fed should do in April
  • Inflation expectations have rebounded from their lows
  • Fed can pursue the best domestic monetary policy (well stop banging on about external risks then)
  • Maybe we would be better off without the dot plots
Between yesterday and today he's managed to cover every single base and leave us none the wiser.
