US MBA mortgage applications 9.3% vs -4.1% prior

  • Mortgage market index 520.4 vs 476.1
  • Purchase index 249.9 vs 223.8 prior
  • Refi index 2070.8 vs 1928.2 prior
  • 30yr mortgage rate 3.83% vs 3.85% prior
A nice lift in the purchase index takes it up towards the Sep 2015 highs. Not a 100% correlation but it points to another good month for the housing market for May.
