May Chicago PMI 55.2 vs 57.0 expected

  • Lowest since January
  • Prior was 58.3
  • New orders slow
  • Employment slows
  • Production slows
  • Prices paid rise at slower pace
  • The index has been above 50 for 12 straight months

It's a miss but it's still well-above 50. The question is: What does the US dollar need to stay strong? Lately, the series of misses has started to weigh more heavily.
