September ISM non-manufacturing index 59.8 vs 55.5 expected

  • Prior was 55.3
  • Best reading since August 2005
  • Prices paid 66.3 vs 57.9 prior
  • New orders 63.0 vs 57.1 prior
  • Employment 56.8 vs 56.2 prior
Maybe it was storm-related but that's a hefty jump in the ISM non-manufacturing index.
