Walgreen to send employees to insurance exchange - MarketWatch
Ahead of the rollout of the health-insurance exchanges mandated by the new health-care law, Walgreen Co.

was set to become one of the largest U.S. employers to respond with a
revamp of its insurance program, reports indicated Tuesday. The retailer
plans to switch from offering insurance to providing employees with
money to purchase their own plans via a private insurance exchange, run
by Aon Hewitt. The Wall Street Journal said Walgreen would announce the
plan Wednesday, while Reuters reported the announcement would come
Friday. The action would follow similar moves by International Business
Machines Corp.
